Men, if you’re not a good leader, for what ever the reason (not judging here), find a good role model to watch and learn.  Pick up the phone and call him. This could be an uncle, a neighbor, or someone you look up to on social media. Communicate to the potential role model what your goal is and ask for help. If they are truly a leader, they will help you. Period.
